The Role

Crescendo is hiring an AI Deployment Engineer to manage technical implementation activities following a customer sale and throughout the customer’s onboarding process. You will ensure our customers have a successful implementation and onboarding - on-time and within budget. Onboarding a new Partner is arguably the most important milestone in their journey with Crescendo. Their anticipation and expectations are at an all-time high during the time period immediately following contract execution. We can capitalize on this enthusiasm by providing an experience for our Partners that leads to early wins and sustained success.

In this role, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, CX Design, Operations,  and other internal stakeholders to ensure all new onboarding efforts accurately address Partner needs and are appropriately supported by key stakeholders.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead discovery and solution design with customers and pre-sales teams, translating business objectives into robust conversational AI architectures and implementation plans.
  • Own technical scope and delivery quality for complex or multi-workstream implementations, proactively managing risks and dependencies.
  • Design, build, and deploy sophisticated CX bots, including advanced conversation flows, personalization strategies, and multi-channel experiences.
  • Architect and oversee integrations between the CX bot and customer systems (CRMs, helpdesks, order management, data warehouses, authentication systems, etc.).
  • Lead and facilitate UAT: define test plans, coordinate Partner stakeholders, triage issues, and sign off on readiness for production.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap based on customer needs, recurring patterns, and technical gaps observed in the field.
  • Support Sales and Solutions Consulting in scoping, estimating, and positioning Crescendo’s technical capabilities with prospects and Partners.
  • Represent Crescendo’s technical voice in executive-level conversations with customers, helping to shape long-term deployment and expansion strategy.

Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

  • Mentor and coach your peers, reviewing their solution designs, providing structured feedback, and supporting their career development.
  • Lead internal design reviews and post-mortems, turning lessons learned into concrete improvements in our deployment playbooks and standards.
  • Contribute to and own key parts of Crescendo’s implementation playbooks, templates, and best practices, ensuring they are adopted consistently across the team.
  • Create and deliver internal enablement sessions (e.g. lunch-and-learns, deep dives, demos) to upskill the broader GTM and Customer Success orgs on conversational AI and Crescendo best practices.
  • Model and promote a culture of documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the AI Deployment Engineering team.

What We Expect From You:

  • Experience building and deploying conversational AI solutions (voice and chat bots).
  • Experience in a customer-facing implementation or consulting role, preferably in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with support CRMs such as Zendesk, Gorgias, and Kustomer, including configuring workflows, ticketing logic, and data handoffs between systems
  • Demonstrate strong practical knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade C-suite leaders and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
